Watchtower Security Solutions UK is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our (international) organization. We are looking for a sales and commercially result driven person to help shape and develop the business to become of the biggest in the property security sector.

What to expect from this position as a Business Development Manager.

Your main role will be to deliver new profitable contracts to WatchTower Security Solutions via proactive selling, competitive tendering, or maximizing reactive opportunities. Cultivate opportunities either from within own self-development database or from the existing client base by forging relationships with appropriate stake holders and reacting to real time requests for proposals. The successful person may be required to work alongside other (international) sales teams, bid support and design on larger opportunities as part of a project team. You will be mainly traveling throughout the whole UK, visiting construction companies and security firms and working from your home office.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • To maintain and develop a wide network of contacts, building relationships in the designated marketplace through field sales.
  • To achieve the individual sales target and support the delivery of the overall team target.
  • Cold calling/lead generating and prospecting and to follow up and provide feedback on sales leads and other opportunities.
  • To ensure that all tender responses are innovative, accurate, compliant, timely and professionally presented.
  • To prepare and deliver all other aspects of the strategic sales process including awareness campaigns, presentations, exhibitions, and general market collateral.
  • To prepare and undertake a thorough hand-over to operational colleagues once each contract is secured using the company’s procedures.
  • To keep abreast of the current market conditions and competitor activity.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess customer needs and do presentation of proposals to customers.
  • To maintain a wide network of internal and external colleagues to develop sales opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date sales forecast records via the company’s CRM system and producing weekly/monthly sales reports.

 

 

What do you bring?

Our ideal candidate is an engaging and driven Business Development Manager who has previous experience of selling security services, possessing knowledge of the construction industry as well. A real ambassador for Watchtower Security Solutions! Well organized, able to work autonomously and manage own diary, this person will acquire a clear understanding of the expectations and requirements of clients / prospects to provide tailor-made solutions for each prospect / client. As our new colleague you must be an articulate and confident ‘people’ person; outgoing, ambitious, enthusiastic and able to connect with people and build relationships easily.

You have the following skills and competences:

  • Multiple years of professional sales experience in commercial security services or construction rental field sales is required
  • Good working knowledge of SalesForce, Linkedin Sales Navigator and Lusha
  • An excellent communicator, making sure that information is understood by all individuals within and outside the team and able to tackle issues to give satisfactory resolution
  • Being able to work unsupervised or as part of a team
  • High level of PC literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Strong analytical and data entry skills, attention to detail is required
  • Must hold a full driving license and be willing to travel extensively throughout the region. From time to time may be required to provide sickness, holiday, and workload cover
  • Willing to work flexible working hours Monday to Friday
